obviously writer is a Liverpool fan.
Why not highlight Southampton - an unfancied team that is sitting high up on the charts?

Some sports editor, why is it SAS? Because of England's Special Air Service. Its their special ops forces, hence the popularity tag. Its not about evoking "memories" of previous partnerships of Man utd or arsenal! The previous partnership who had the famous tag was for the England national team, Shearer and Sheringham.

Pathetic journalism.
