Qualification route: 2012 OFC Nations Cup winners

Head Coach: Eddy Etaeta

World Ranking: 138

Key fact: This is the first Confederations Cup in which the team representing the Oceania region is neither Australia nor New Zealand - congratulations Tahiti! Australia moved to the Asia qualifying region in 2006 and New Caledonia knocked New Zealand out of the 2012 OFC Nations Cup with a 2-0 win over them in their semi-final match.

Fun fact: Tahiti's biggest recorded win was a massive 30-0 victory over the Cook Islands at the 1971 South Pacific Games which they also hosted.
