As with the Olympic competition, archers score points by firing arrows at a target from a distance of 70m. A highest score of 10 points is achieved when a gold ring in the center of the target, measuring just 12.2cm in diameter, is struck.
Individual matches are the best of five sets, with three arrows per athlete, while the team events are a best-of-41-arrows format, involving teams of three.

Men and women are able to take part in the individual and team Archery competitions, as well as competitions for Recurve and Compound bows.

Classification:
ARST - Standing athletes
ARW1 and ARW2 - Wheelchair competitors. The impairments of W2 athletes' will have less of an impact on their abilities than W1.
