2) Park Ji-Sung
Before Kagawa appeared on the BPL scene this year, it was South Korean Park Ji-Sung who flew the Asian flag high in the world’s most-watched football league. The veteran midfielder was with Man U for no less than seven years - including a Champions League victory – and many fans are no doubt sad to see him go.
Park, 31, will be staying on in the BPL with another club – Queens Park Rangers – and in a nod to his experience, been made captain. It remains to be seen if he will be able to reverse the fortunes of QPR, which clung on to their Premier League status after an epic final match last season that saw Manchester City crowned as champions.
