Bale makes first Bernabeu start
Real Madrid's Welsh striker Gareth Bale looks on during the UEFA Champions League Group B football match Real Madrid CF vs Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid on October 23, 2013
The Welshman has failed to complete 90 minutes in any of his six appearances since joining from Tottenham Hotspur last month, and made only his second start in Real's 2-1 defeat to Barcelona on Saturday.
Bale was largely ineffective at the Camp Nou before being replaced by Karim Benzema after an hour, but coach Carlo Ancelotti has kept faith with the 24-year-old and backed him to come good.
Ancelotti does make four changes to the side that started against Barca with Alvaro Arbeloa, Asier Illarramendi, Isco and Benzema returning to the side.
Pepe, Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric and Angel di Maria all drop to the bench, whilst Xabi Alonso is also listed among the substitutes for the first time this season after overcoming groin and foot injuries.
Real currently trail Barca by nine points at the top of La Liga after the Catalans beat Celta Vigo 3-0 on Tuesday.
