Here's one that didn't get away. Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino was banned for two matches for scoring a goal with his arm in 3-1 win at Palermo. The Italy forward deliberately handballed when he slid in for what the referee ruled as a legimate the opening goal.
To add salt to Palermo's injury, the player had the temerity to ran away in celebration of his disgraceful act. The league's sporting judge later acknowledged it was 'serious unsporting conduct', and gave Gilardino what he deserved.
