On whether he would support his child's dream to become an athlete.
"If it was something that my child really, really wanted, I would make sure of that first of all, and I would support him or her... My mother really wanted me to go to school and everything but I was adamant that I wanted to become a football player, and after making that decision my parents just supported me and I think that's important... If you want to be an athlete, you can't do it in half, you can't go halfway. You've got to go full throttle, a hundred percent. If you have anyone in your close circle of friend or family that doubt you, it's definitely not (going to) help."

Peter Schmeichel, who was recently voted by xinmsn users as history's greatest goalkeeper, was in Singapore and spent some time answering questions from the press.
