Football: EPL Masters Football Singapore Cup to return in 2013

SINGAPORE: Organisers of the EPL Masters Football Singapore Cup have confirmed that the tournament will be back in 2013.

Some 7,000 cheering fans had turned up at the Singapore Indoor Stadium over the weekend to watch their favourite football players feature in the six—a—side tournament.

Following the success of this year’s tournament, organisers now have plans to make it an annual affair.

The competition featured four teams consisting of former Manchester United and Liverpool greats, as well as Singapore’s 1994 Malaysia Cup—winning team led by local football hero Fandi Ahmad.
