Football: Late goal hands LionsXII another victory

KUALA TERENGGANU: After their 9—0 thrashing of Sabah last Saturday at the Jalan Besar stadium, the LionsXII travelled to Kuala Terengganu to face the home team.

But it was no goal feast this time at the Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah. The Lions won by just one goal.

Both teams had their fair share of shots at goal.

It was frustrating for the fans as the first half ended goalless, and the missed chances continued after the break.

It wasn’t till very late in stoppage time, when Sufian Anuar’s goal ensured the Lions come away with the three points.
