
SINGAPORE: It was a goal—fest as Singapore’s LionsXII thrashed Sabah 9—0 at Jalan Besar Stadium in the Malaysian Super League.
The Lions started brightly and it paid off after Agu Casmir tapped in the opener in the 20th minute.
Within three minutes, Captain Hariss Harun scored a second goal for the Lions.
He then added another goal in the 41st minute to make it 3—0 before half—time.
After the break, Shahdan Sulaiman found the net twice within three minutes in the second half while Hariss Harun made it a hat—trick in the 74th minute.
Defender Irwan Shah and Sufian Anuar made it 8 goals for the Lions, before an own goal by Sabah made it 9—0 for the Lions in the one—sided match.
The LionsXII remain on the top of the table with 47 points from 23 games.
