Football: Malaysia win Causeway Challenge

SELANGOR: Malaysia beat Singapore 2—0 (4—2 on aggregate) on Tuesday in the second leg of the Causeway Challenge at the Shah Alam Stadium in Selangor.
The home side dominated the game and registered 21 shots on goal and 16 corners against their arch—rivals.
Malaysia’s Shakir Ali headed in a cross from Norshahrul Idlan Talaha in the 19th minute.
The hosts were a constant danger in the first half while the Lions struggled to keep up.
After the break, Malaysian captain Safiq Rahim scored the second goal from a free—kick in the 62nd minute before Singapore were reduced to 10 men.
Both sides drew 2—2 in their first—leg encounter at Jalan Besar Stadium last week.
