
SINGAPORE: SingTel said its mio TV has secured the broadcast rights to Europe’s premier football competitions UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
The Champions League match broadcast will start with the first round of UEFA Champions League Group matches on the new mio sports channels.
Fans can look forward to matches between the top football clubs in Europe including the clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City on 19 September at 2.45am.
The operator said all mio stadium and sports pack customers can enjoy the sports channels for free till 31 October.
mio TV’s coverage of the Europa League will start with the first round of Group matches on 20 September.
SingTel’s managing director of television, Goh Seow Eng, said: "We are thrilled to have scored the winning goal that makes our brand new mio sports channels the home of the best European Football in Singapore. The UEFA Champions League and the Europa League are some of the most popular sporting events around the world and we recognise how important these matches are to our customers."
