LONDON: Singapore’s Feng Tianwei has crashed out of the women’s table tennis singles semi—finals at the London Olympics after losing to China’s Ding Ning.
World champion Ding started off strong against the Singaporean paddler.
Ding easily took the first two sets in 10 minutes.
Feng tried to make a comeback, claiming the third and fifth games.
But Ding’s aggressive play was too much to handle for Feng, who finally went down 2—4 (7—11, 4—11, 11—9, 10—12, 11—6, 6—11).
Feng will now have a shot at the bronze medal.
