SINGAPORE: Swimmer Theresa Goh got the action going for Team Singapore as the first day of competition at the London Paralympics got under way on Thursday.

Taking part in the women’s 50—metre freestyle S5 event, she managed a time of 47.91 seconds. But her timing was not good enough to qualify for the finals.

Goh had finished fifth out of five competitors in Heat 2, and last overall among the ten swimmers who finished the race.

In another event, Singapore’s Maximillian Tan competed in the Equestrian Team Test — Grade I B event.

He finished last among 14 riders with a score of 63.364.
