
SINGAPORE: Singapore swimmer Lynnette Lim will be competing in the upcoming London Olympics.
The Singapore Swimming Association said it has received confirmation from the swimming world governing body FINA.
Lim has been selected to compete in the Women’s 400 metres freestyle based on her time of 4 minutes 15.07 seconds.
Lim and three other swimmers from Singapore made the cut based on their ’B’ timings.
Quah Zheng Wen, who clocked 4 minutes 21.70 seconds will compete in the men’s 400m individual medley; while Mylene Ong earned a place in the women’s 100 metres freestyle with her timing of 55.70 seconds.
They will join Tao Li, who received her invitation in the 100 metres butterfly event last month.
A total of five swimmers will represent Singapore at the London Games.
The fifth swimmer is Joseph Schooling, who qualified with an Olympic ’A’ time in the men’s 200 metres butterfly.
