Swimming: Tao Li aims to beat "A" mark at SEA meet

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s swim queen Tao Li will use the Southeast Asia Swimming Championships in Singapore to book a spot in next month’s London Olympics.
She will swim in the 100 metres butterfly event on June 15.
Tao Li, who has already clocked a "B" time of 59.14 seconds, needs to hit the "A" mark of 58.7 seconds to win a safe spot at the London Olympics.
The 22—year—old is confident she’ll perform well if she makes it to the Olympics.
"I think everything is really on the right track. My timing now as compared to 2008 is much faster. I hope that I can do my best and do Singapore proud at the Olympics."
