SINGAPORE: The world’s fastest and most talented youth climbers converged on Sentosa for the IFSC World Youth Championship on Saturday.
There were three categories in the Speed Final and the best of which was the Youth A Final for those aged under 17.
In the boys’ final, Russia’s Ruslan Faizullin was way too quick for his opponent, scaling the wall in just 7.45 seconds.
His compatriot Sergey Luzgetskiy was some 2.5 seconds behind.
In the girls’ final, it was a much closer tussle, with two Russians fighting it out for the top spot.
It went to Anna Emets, who did just enough to hold off Valeria Baranova in 10.28 seconds.
