Lionel Messi beware, Ronaldo seems to have his crosshairs firmly on the next Ballon d’Or prize.

“Sad” a few weeks back, the Portuguese superstar has now almost singlehandedly reversed Real Madrid’s fortunes, helping them to four consecutive victories.

At last night's Champions League match against Ajax Amsterdam, Ronaldo made the Dutch champions look ordinary and helped his club assume control of the so-called Group of Death with a 4-1 win.
