Brazilian defender Cleber signs for Hamburg
Brazilian central defender Cleber Janderson Pereira Reis has signed a three-year deal with Bundesliga club Hamburg from Corinthians, the German club announced on Wednesday.
The deal, estimated at three million euros ($3.9m), was rubber stamped after the 23-year-old passed his medical.
"He's a young player who was room for improvement," said coach Mirko Slomka. "Our task now is to integrate him as quickly as possible," added Slomka ahead of Saturday's home game against promoted Paderborn.
Cleber played 31 matches for Corinthians last season, scoring three goals.
