The win cemented Roma's hold on second place in Serie A, which brings with it a place in next season's Champions League.

Roma are on 67 points, 11 behind leaders Juventus but nine clear of third-placed Napoli, who are away to bottom side Catania on Wednesday.

Set up by Gervinho, Florenzi ignited the Stadio Olimpico with a powerful shot in the first minute of time added on.

Ivory Coast international Gervinho had already played a crucial role in Roma's first, producing the decisive pass for Mattia Destro to open the scoring four minutes from the break.

Ciro Immobile gave Torino hope of getting something out of the game when levelling in the 52nd minute with a volley for his 17th goal of the season, only for Florenzi's injury time intervention to grab Roma the spoils.
