Atletico need just a point to become the first side out with Barca and Real Madrid to win the league in 10 years, but would be denied by a Barca victory due to the Catalans' better head-to-head record.

Gerard Pique does return to the Barca backline for the first time since Atletico last visited the Catalan capital on April 1 after overcoming a hip injury.

Neymar and Jordi Alba are both on the bench as they are also short of match fitness after a month out, but Cesc Fabregas' inclusion at the expense of Xavi is the big surprise as Barca boss Gerardo Martino makes a big call in what is expected to be his final game in charge no matter the outcome.

There were no surprises in the Atletico line-up as Diego Costa has recovered from a hamstring injury to take his place up front alongside former Barca striker David Villa.
