The 30-year-old's new contract includes an option for an extra year.
The announcement concludes a positive last month for Malzieu, who has scored three tries in four matches since returning at the end of November from calf and Achilles tendon problems.
"We've been following with interest Julien's return from a long injury," said backs coach Franck Azema on the club's internet site.
"He has managed to convince us of his desire to go forward and rediscover his best form with Clermont."
Malzieu added: "I'm happy to continue my career with Clermont. It was my first choice and I cannot but be satisfied."
Malzieu's extension adds to those already signed by France prop Thomas Domingo, Georgia tighthead Davit Zirakashvili, Canada lock Jamie Cudmore, France second-rower Julien Pierre, France No.8 Damien Chouly, Portugal flanker Julien Bardy and Australian fly-half Brock James.
Clermont have also already tied up deals for next season to sign Australian hooker John Ulugia from French second division side Bourg-en-Bresse, Wales centre Jonathan Davies from Scarlets and France lock Sebastien Vahaamahina from Perpignan, while Samoan-born New Zealander Fritz Lee has already joined from Chiefs.
