Maldonado to start from 20th for fuel breach
Lotus' Venezuelan driver Pastor Maldonado drives during the qualifying session at the Silverstone circuit in Silverstone on July 5, 2014 ahead of the British Formula One Grand Prix - by Dimitar Dilkoff
Maldonado was forced to stop his Lotus on track during the second of the three sessions at Silverstone, initially qualifying 15th.
His qualifying time would have seen him start from 13th on the grid after penalties to Britain's Max Chilton (Marussia) and Mexico's Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber).
Maldonado's car was later found to have an insufficient amount of fuel on board to provide a one-litre sample, as required by the regulations.
Although without a time, Maldonado is allowed to start the race from the back of the grid, ahead of the two Caterham drivers Marcus Ericsson and Kamui Kobayashi who both failed to finish within the 107 percent time set in Q1 by Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.
