Feng was born in China but became a Singapore citizen at the start of 2008, and just a few months later she helped her new country win their first Olympic medal as an independent nation.
She was part of the team of three that won table tennis silver at Beijing 2008, while in the individual event she finished just out of the medals in fifth place.
2010 ranked as one of her best years so far, as she won a series of major honours. Feng claimed gold with Singapore in the team event at the World Championships, won the singles in the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals and clinched a haul of two gold medals and two silver medals at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
She is now looking to build on that success.
