Sir Alex Ferguson is to retire as Manchester United manager at the end of the season, after 27 years at the Old Trafford club. A reign like few others seen in the English game, Ferguson amassed an incredible 38 trophies while in charge of the Red Devils - including 13 league championships, two Champions League trophies and five FA cups - and he will now move on to become both a director and an ambassador for the club.
