We take our hats off to the Los Angeles Clippers team for their 17-game winning streak
There could have been no better way to end the year 2012 and usher in 2013 for the NBA team, Los Angeles Clippers. Though the team has rarely been the showstoppers in the home of Hollywood when pitted against the Lakers, the Clips have definitely stolen the limelight in the past month. On November 28 2012, the unsuspecting team embarked on what was to be a 17-game winning run, only brought to an end on New Year’s Day when the Denver Nuggets pulled off a 92-78 victory.
The LA Clippers have now joined the leaderboards as one of the only teams to have gone undefeated for an entire calendar month, along with the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers. The team’s streak marks the longest in the NBA since 2009 when the Boston Celtics chocked up 19 games in a row.
