In track’s most high-profile drug controversy since Marion Jones admitted to steroids in 2007, two of the world’s best sprinters have tested positive ahead of next month’s world championships in Moscow.

American Tyson Gay was world champion in 2007 and the fastest man in the world this year. Jamaican Asafa Powell is a former 100m world-record holder, but has since been eclipsed by speedier countryman Usain Bolt.
