Five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant was in Singapore over the weekend and attended a number of public and private events, also hosting a basketball workshop in the process.
A total of 52 youth under the purview of Singapore's Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and 12 junior athletes from The Basketball Association of Singapore participated in a half-hour basketball clinic at Marina Bay Sands on Saturday.
Kobe gave pointers to the players on numerous basic mechanics, including how to properly do pushups and situps, and proper jumpshot technique.
"We are honored to welcome Kobe Bryant here at Marina Bay Sands. We are excited to offer these youth a once-in-a-lifetime experience from a legendary athlete through a personal hands-on basketball clinic with one of the greats of modern basketball. We hope that the youth who join us will be able to learn some of Kobe's experiences as a global sports icon" said Marina Bay Sands Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mark Juliano.
