South Africa relay team smashes world record

After the disappointment of his 200m defeat three days earlier, Oscar Pistorius was able to make amends in the 4 x 100m T42-46 relay as part of a South African team which smashed the world record to help the Blade Runner win his first gold of 2012. The final changeover once again pitted him against Alan Oliveira, who was part of a Brazilian team who pushed hard but eventually got disqualified, along with a strong USA team.
