Mixed Martial Arts action in Kuala Lumpur

One of the biggest mixed martial arts (MMA) events in Asia, the second instalment of ONE Fighting Championship: Return of Warriors saw some heated action in the cage.

Filipino fighter Honorio Banario took down fellow countryman Eric Kelly in a four-round striking battle, finishing him with a punch to claim the Featherweight championship.

In the flyweight category, 33-year-old veteran Shinichi Kojima weathered Rey Docyogen’s attacks before defeating him via submission with a guillotine choke.

Meanwhile, American Lowen Tynanes wrestled South African Vuyisile Colossa to a three-round victory, while Malaysians Peter Davis and Adam Kayoom took down their Indonesian opponents to the delight of the home crowd.

The first event on ONE FC’s 2013 Asia calendar was held in Stadium Putra, Kuala Lumpur, and fought to a sold-out crowd.
