Don't sweat it when they do
Running boosts your lung capacity and makes you fitter all around. So the next time you climb a flight of stairs too many, run to catch a bus or rescue a princess from a burning building, you won't be the unfit bum who just lost their breath and is now drenched in sweat.
For the ladies (and some boys): Get to those Nine Wests!
It's a reoccurring thing. Sometimes there's a sale, it turns into a mad rush getting through the doors, and it's going to be a dash to that pair of Nine Wests you've got to have. Why risk it? Give yourself the best chance possible to get ahead of the rest. Through your training, you know you're quicker and fitter. Get those shoes!
Today 1km. Next month 5km. Next year the moon.
There's an odd truth about running. It's a drug. For anyone. The problem is that people don't stick to it long enough to find out. All you've got to do, is survive the first three months. If you don't make it, you'll never know this. If you do, you'll be hooked. Six months, and it'll be just another easy thing to do. A year later, say hello to your new addiction. The best kind ever. It all starts with that first step out the door.
