Eddie Ng: Once bullied for being Asian, now a fearsome MMA fighter

It might be a little surprising to hear that Ng trains just four hours a day, from 9-11am and 2-4pm.
“It’s not the quantity of hours, it’s the quality,” he says.
Ng explains that because MMA fights are typically over in a matter of minutes, it makes sense to train fast and hard. If you trained for too long, you’d be using “a different energy system”, he says.
“I try to learn one thing every day, learn a new technique or improve some technique. Also, outside the gym, I want to be a better person every day.
“If I could fight against myself from one year ago, there would be no competition.”
