What better way to spend a Sunday than with the sun, sand, sea and netball?

There was plenty of netball at Sentosa's Siloso Beach yesterday when 40 teams battled it out at the annual Mission Foods Beach Netball Festival.

"It’s fantastic to see how it has grown in popularity each year," said Netball Singapore's CEO Cyrus Medora.

“It’s a fun beach activity that offers our regular netballers something different, and also attracts a new crowd to the sport as it’s relaxed and the format is very simple for everyone to play.”

Top prize was $1,000 plus other goodies, while second- and third-placed teams walked away with $500 and $300 respectively.
