Slipper pleaded guilty to the charge after being cited for the incident during the Reds' 44-14 loss to the Blues in Auckland last Friday.

"Given the player's excellent disciplinary record, his good character and in recognition of his early plea of guilty I reduced the six-week suspension to three weeks," SANZAR duty judicial officer Adam Casselden said in a statement.

Slipper was suspended from all forms of the game up to and including May 24.
