Shipulin takes pursuit honours in Slovenia
Russian biathlete Anton Shipulin (L), Norway's Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (C) and Austria's Dominik Landertinger (R) compete during the Men's Biathlon 12.5 km pursuit race of the IBU biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia, on March 8, 2014 - by Rene Gomolj
Shipulin, an Olympic relay gold medallist, won the fifth race of his career with a faultless score in the shooting and an 8.6sec advantage over his nearest rival, Bjorn Ferry of Sweden, winner of Thursday's sprint.
Olympic sprint champion Ole Einar Bjoerndalen of Norway was third, 27.4sec behind Shipulin.
Fourcade missed four targets and ended up seventh, more than a minute behind Shipulin, but still stretched his World Cup lead as his closest rival, Norway's Emil Hegle Svendsen, was a long way down the field in 19th.
