Sri Lanka were bowled out for 292 in reply to South Africa's first innings total of 455-9, on the fourth day of the first Test in Galle on Saturday.

Angelo Mathews top-scored with 89 and Dale Steyn was the most successful bowler with figures of 5-54.

The second and final Test will be played in Colombo from July 24-28.
