Takanashi, 17, finished the season with a phenomenal 1,720 points to run away with the World Cup crown, more than 900 points clear of her closest rival, Carina Vogt of Germany.
She has featured on all 18 World Cup podiums this season, with one event having been cancelled, but missed out on an Olympic medal when she finished a disappointing fourth at the Sochi Games last month.
In Planica, she was the only jumper to clear 130 metres on both of her jumps, to finish well ahead of compatriot Yuki Ito and France's Julia Clair.
