Breaking the ice with a pretty lady, or hot guy

Not particularly a rule, but just another way to break the ice should there be need. Chances are, if they're running just like you, there's already common ground and similar frames of mind, so conversation shouldn't be too hard to come by once introductions are out of the way. Here's what you do.

If the target person is ahead of you, give chase. Speed up and catch up to him or her, and in your shortness of breath, without thinking, just say 'hi'. If they're friendly enough, they'll say hi back. Then go on to say (not to the letter), "I told myself that if I could catch up to you so far ahead, I'd reward myself by saying 'Hi' to you". Proceed with caution, or as you see fit!
