West Indies defeated Bangladesh by three wickets in the first one-day international at the National Stadium in Grenada on Wednesday.

Replying to the Bangladeshis' total of 217 for nine, the West Indies reached their target with 62 balls remaining after being 34-5 at one stage.

The second game of the three-match series is at the same venue on Friday.
